Again, it was all generated by AI. Read on to find out how.
This episode explores the concept of glottophobia, which is prejudice based on how a person speaks, specifically their accent. It examines the Andalusian accent and how it has been stigmatised historically, partly due to the influence of the Reconquista in Spain. It also mentions how the idea of a ‘neutral accent’ is an artificial construct, especially used in the media, which reinforces linguistic prejudices.
The content underlines the importance of consciously paying attention to the judgements we make about people based on how they speak and how these judgements can have real consequences in various aspects of life. It calls for embracing linguistic diversity as part of the richness of language and a way to broaden our perspectives.
How did I do it?
I created the music and lyrics with Suno, the audio of the postcad itself is based on the main url of my Substack and it’s generated with NotebookLM. The image was made in Midjourney.
First I used mp3cut for edit the audio, but the the editing of the video was done manually (I had to work something!) with Elevate.
The subtitles were generated from the main audio with Turboscribe, and Youtube automatically pasted them into the video. The Spanish translation of everything is also available in the video, and I made it with ChatGPT and obviously Youtube also pasted it as it wanted.
This is the second episode of this AI generated postcad, and I think it took me about 1,5 hours of work. It keeI am still fascinated to be part of the process.
